About the book

Drupal 7 Mobile Web Development Beginner's Guide allows readers to implement audio, video, charting and mapping solutions that work on Mobile, Tablet, and Desktop browsers. Written by Tom Stovall, this one of a kind book will enable the reader to set up Domain Access and Drupal Behaviors that redirect mobile and desktop browsers to the version of the website most appropriate for their client.

To make the transition to a mobile site easier, this guide includes a ‘Mom & Pop’ restaurant site along with fun examples of a family pizza restaurant that help the readers adapt their websites to those that are fully functional in a mobile environment. Besides sharing the content across sites without resorting to a multi-site install, readers can customize themes that will present their site with a unified marketing message.

Drupal Mobile Web Dev PacktPub book GIVEAWAY!

By Adrian Casillas (not verified)

I want it.

I need it.

I gotta have it.

(Looks like a good book and after 4 years of boring ol' desktop Drupal 6 I want to go for the "mobile first" approach a la Drupalaise.)

Why I would like to win this book...

By dddave (not verified)

Mobilefriendlyness obviously is a big, important topic. I am currently diving into this complex and searching for "easy" solutions presentable to "non-techie" users. For example I started a discussion on gdo about how best to implement responsive rich media: http://groups.drupal.org/node/233238

All that said: This book sounds interesting and I want one!

Give me that thing!

Chris, you know I'm such a digibete. Of course (as a medical information specialist) I should start using (or at least trying) Drupal. I will follow a short course at the EAHIL, but I will definitely need your book to help me succeed with my first attempts. You wouldn't refuse an old friend a much needed favor, now, would you?

This book would be much appreciated for a worthy cause

By Michael (not verified)

I'm going to be working on a website for a nonprofit organization (they provide health services to low income families in the San Diego area), and their existing website needs to be replaced with something mobile-friendly. I would build that website using Drupal 7, and a book like this could be a huge help.

Thank you!

Michael
